As leaders from around the world travel to Munich for the annual International Security Conference, the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece (KIS) and Greek Jewry are participating in the initiative of international Jewry and are urgently appealing to participants to exert the greatest possible political pressure to secure the immediate release of the remaining Israeli hostages who have been held in Gaza for almost 500 days, as well as the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
“Last week’s shocking images of the emaciated and tortured hostages Eli Sharabi, Ohad Ben Ami and Or Levy during their release from Hamas terrorists in Gaza have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that every additional day – every hour – in the dungeons of Gaza puts their lives at risk. We shudder at the potential consequences of any further delay,” says the President of KIS David Saltiel.
"The world can no longer stand idly by in the face of Hamas' deliberate delays, as the terrorist organization mocks the international community and plays with the lives of the hostages and the anguish of their families," added D. Saltiel.
The Munich Conference presents a unique opportunity for a coordinated and united effort by the international community to free the hostages and ensure full compliance with the ceasefire agreement. There is no longer time for slogans and platitudes. FREE THE HOSTAGES NOW!
