The Central Jewish Council of Greece wishes you happy holidays and a happy, blessed and full of light and hope HANUKKAH, with a symbolic video for Hanukkah HERE.

Starting tomorrow, December 25, and for eight days, Jews around the world will light the Hanukkah candles, the symbol of faith in the freedom of the Jewish people. This year, the Hanukkah holiday coincides with the Christmas holiday celebrated by our fellow Christians. Two holidays that symbolize light, love and hope.

The spirit of the holidays is common and unifying, the wishes for everyone, for peace, prosperity and progress.

With our thoughts and prayers anticipating the release of the Israeli hostages, we hope this year's Hanukkah will light the way for them to return home and to their families! We hope that eventually the light of freedom will prevail over the darkness of captivity!
