The rise of anti-Semitism in recent years has made clear the need for coordinated action by both international and state agencies. However, it is the education officials who are charged with the high task of facing this social challenge by nurturing their students with the values of mutual respect and equality.

To achieve this goal, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), prepared 10 specialized teaching aids, with a central theme "Tackling Anti-Semitism Through Education", in order to support teachers in discussing and explaining antisemitism in the classroom. The textbooks - with a general learning approach to the promotion of human rights, tolerance and provide practical guidance on how to answer questions or deal with anti-Semitic attitudes of students, while providing brief but comprehensive information on contemporary manifestations of anti-Semitism.

These useful teaching aids are based on his special research University of Derby on the issues teachers in OSCE member countries face in discussing anti-Semitism in the classroom. The 10 books are one of the new actions of the German-funded "Words into Action" program and were created in collaboration with CEJI- A Jewish Contribution to an Inclusive Europe. They are freely available through the OSCE website with the possibility of ordering them also in printed form.
