On December 4 and 5, 2023, a seminar on "Education against anti-Semitism, intolerance and discrimination in Greece: basic elements for the training of teachers" ("Educating against antisemitism, intolerance and discrimination in Greece: essential elements for teacher training").
The seminar was co-organized by the General Secretariat of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Religion, UNESCO, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE (OSCE/ODIHR) and the Jewish Museum of Greece.
The event was welcomed by: Mr. Giorgos Kalantzis, General Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Mr. David Saltiel, President of the Central Jewish Council of Greece, Ms. Katharina Von Schnurbein, coordinator of the European Commission for Combating Anti-Semitism and Promoting Jewish Life . .
The seminar was attended by academics, primary and secondary education officials, combative teachers and representatives of the Israeli communities.
In a creative atmosphere they were informed, exchanged opinions and enriched their arsenal with material useful for educational practices that will contribute to confronting anti-Semitism, intolerance and discrimination, which threaten social cohesion.
