The Association "DESCENDANTS OF HOLOCAUST VICTIMS" was founded in 1993.
The Statute was approved by decision 3814/1992 of the Multi-Member Court of First Instance of Athens and registered in the maintained book of the Court of First Instance with serial number 18746/93.
Members of the Association are those who have one of their parents, or a relative up to the fourth degree of consanguinity, a survivor of the Holocaust or if they have lost their own up to the above degree of consanguinity in the Concentration Camps during World War II.
Objectives of the Association are among others: The development of ties, the transmission of the message of the Holocaust and the cultivation of relations between its members, as well as with educational and spiritual Associations of Greece and International and the provision of all possible support to the survivors of the Holocaust.
Organs of the Association are: The General Assembly, the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.
The actions of the Association to date:
- Assistance in completing the Yad Vashem forms ("Pages of Testimonies") with testimonies of Holocaust survivors.
- Registering the victims of the Holocaust.
- Speeches in schools and Universities using audio-visual media to inform students, as well as participation in university-level conferences.
- Participation in television and radio broadcasts, conferences and meetings of international organizations.
- Cooperation with foreign bodies to organize briefings on their behalf on a variety of topics.
- Search Laws of Nations.
- Assistance to our members in drawing up claims for compensation for internment in a concentration camp, or forced labor ghetto, as well as for material losses.
- Publication of forms.
