On 23.3.2009 it took place in the hall of O.P.A.I.E. the ceremony of posting the photo of the late president of the Board of Directors of O.P.A.I.E., Aaron Asher. The ceremony was attended by the family of Aaron Asher, his wife Dolly and his children Ariella and Moises, the president of O.P.A.I.E. Mr. David Tarabulous and members of the Board of Directors, the president of K.I.S. Mr. Moises Konstantinis, the honorary president of I.K. Mr. Daniel Alchanatis of Athens as well as relatives and old friends of the deceased.

On 21.01.09, the K.I.S., the Cervantes Institute in Athens and the Embassy of Spain in Greece, in collaboration with CasaSefarad-Israel, organized an event, at the Spiritual Center of I.K. Athens, for the presentation of the book "S. R. Radigales and the Sephardim of Greece (1943 - 1946). The humanitarian work of the Spanish diplomat SR Radigales", published by CasaSefarad-Israel.

On 21.01.09, in a special ceremony organized by the K.I.S. and the Embassy of Israel, at the Spiritual Center of I.K. Athens, the honorary title and medal of the "Right of Nations" of the "YadVashem" Foundation was awarded posthumously to Dr. Ioannis Theoharis for the rescue of Greek Jews during the German Occupation. A greeting was delivered by the consul of Israel, Mr. Eli Schne, who mentioned the special value of people's acts of self-sacrifice in difficult times, and then Ms. Carol Mioni presented the moving and humane story that unfolded during the German Occupation.

On 16.03.09, at the invitation of Megaron Plus and sponsored by the Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation, the French banker and president of the "Rothschild Group" David de Rothschild visited Greece, who gave a lecture at the Athens Concert Hall with theme "What the financial crisis taught us". On the occasion of D. de Rothschild's visit, the French ambassador to Greece, Mr. Christophe Farneau, hosted a reception in his honor at his home.
