The general secretary of KISE Victor I. Eliezer with the following his facebook post stigmatized the fact of the upvoting of a resolution on 11.11.2024 by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Athens for the ceasefire in Gaza and the disengagement of Greece from the war.

"The selective sensitivity of the Mayor of Athens Mr. Harry Doukas

Finally, Mayor,

you can't avoid the temptation... you absolutely must prove that you are possessed of a selective sensibility.

That night her December 31, 2023, you showed your intentions by allowing Palestinian flags to be flown at the Constitution, and we naive people believed it wasn't your fault!!!

In March, Mayor you declare to the Municipal Council: "I don't like it, it doesn't suit me the concert of the municipality of Athens with the embassy of Israel. I'll see if we can change it." The planned concert in which Israeli musicians would participate with musicians from the Municipality of Athens, a concert with religious hymns is canceled.
In May, relatives of the Israeli hostages who were taken on October 7 by Hamas terrorists come to Athens, they request a meeting with the Mayor of Athens... but Mr. Duke "will be absent".

In September, shortly before the internal party elections, Mr. Duke representatives of the Palestinian Authority who, according to their statement, "we informed him of the ongoing war crimes and genocide committed by the so-called state of Israel, as well as the loss of life and property suffered by both the Palestinian and Lebanese people ».

Apparently Mayor you nodded your head condescendingly, if you didn't agree with them completely.

And on 11 November 2024, your faction together with other forces of the "Left" voted in favor of a resolution by which the Municipality of Athens notes "the humanitarian disaster unfolding in the Gaza Strip with the risk of starvation open" and calls for "an immediate ceasefire in Gaza", and "the de-escalation of the war conflict in Lebanon and the other active war fronts in the Middle East".

Not a word about the massacre of October 7th and you obviously consider, Mayor, that it is of no humanitarian value for the Municipality of Athens to request in its resolution the release of the 101 Israeli hostages held for 404 days by Hamas.

Mayor, you identify with the demands of Hamas and Hezbollah, whose tactics you have of course never condemned. Not even the pogroms against Israeli fans in Amsterdam caused your comment!

Your sensitivity, Mayor, is selective. And don't tell us how sensitive you are about the Holocaust, because you just really don't care if Jews are persecuted, raped, murdered, burned, or relived as hostages, and excruciatingly rot in the underground tunnels of Gaza.

I know Mayor, I'm getting tiresome, but I won't stop recalling the comment of Yair Lapid, leader of Israel's official opposition: "contrary to everything you think about yourself, everything you say about color blindness, humanity, human rights defenders and all the rest, you have another personality trait – you are antisemitic. I know you think you're not, but you are''.
