Within the framework of the educational activities of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (EDA), the 8.4.2025th series of Embassy Attaché Candidates visited the Jewish Museum of Greece, the Jewish Community of Athens and the Sephardic Synagogue on XNUMX.

They were informed about the historical presence of Judaism in Greece from late antiquity with the Romaniote Jews, to the present day, about the identity, customs and traditions of Greek Jews and about the need to combat anti-Semitism and intolerance.

They paid tribute to the Holocaust Memorial, a symbol of the terrible Jewish losses during the Nazi occupation of Greece, and exchanged wishes for Jewish and Greek Orthodox Easter.

The students were accompanied by the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Combating Anti-Semitism and Defending the Memory of the Holocaust, Ambassador Chrysoula Aliferi.
