Within the framework of the educational activities of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (EDA), the 8.4.2025th series of Embassy Attaché Candidates visited the Jewish Museum of Greece, the Jewish Community of Athens and the Sephardic Synagogue on XNUMX.
They were informed about the historical presence of Judaism in Greece from late antiquity with the Romaniote Jews, to the present day, about the identity, customs and traditions of Greek Jews and about the need to combat anti-Semitism and intolerance.
The Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, was in Warsaw for the Informal Council of Ministers of Culture of the European Union. As reported by a statement from the Ministry of Culture, before the start of the Council, Lina Mendoni had a working meeting with the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, Hanna Wróblewska, in which she expressed her satisfaction with the positive and collegial climate of cooperation that has developed between the two countries and which favors the further strengthening of cultural relations. Focusing on the issue of the repatriation of illegally exported cultural goods, the Minister of Culture raised Greece's national request for the reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures in Athens, thanking her Polish counterpart "for the Polish government's steadfast support for the Greek request, as expressed by your Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in his meeting with our Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a year ago, here in Warsaw."

Xenis Sachinis tackles one of his most beloved themes, memory, and in particular the memory of the Holocaust versus oblivion, which often flourishes alongside racism, in his art exhibition that opened on 28.3.2025 at the French Institute of Thessaloniki.
In the exhibition titled "Memory#Forgetfulness," Xenis Sahinis uses his art to send powerful messages. He uses visual language as a guardian of memory, emphatically reminding us of how human nature can also conceal the form of a monster.
