The Foundation of the Hellenic Parliament for Parliamentaryism and Democracy, within the framework of the exhibition "In the same city: Christians and Jews in Thessaloniki", which it co-organizes with the Israelite Community of Thessaloniki, the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki and the G. Konstantinidis Archive, organizes meetings discussion and knowledge.
The first meeting, on "Gender and memory: Christian and Jewish women in the same city", will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 19:00. Frangiski Ambatzopoulou, emeritus professor of Modern Greek Philology (Department of Philology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and member of the scientific committee of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation will speak on the topic: "Jewish women of Thessaloniki: life stories and oral testimonies". Rika Benveniste, professor of History (Department of History, Archeology and Social Anthropology, University of Thessaly) will speak on the topic: "For Luna from Thessaloniki".

A man who radiated light, a great doctor and researcher, a charismatic teacher, an inspiring mayor, a proud Yanniot Jew, a scholar... through these words, dedicated to the late Moses Elisaf by those who knew him, his personality, work and achievements were outlined at the event which KIS organized in his memory.
The event honouring Moses Elisaf took place on 13.3.2024, at the Old Parliament, in the presence of his widow Cleopatra Hatzigiannis – Elisaf and the representative of the Prime Minister and the Government, the Minister of the Interior Niki Kerameos. The Institute of International Relations (I.D.I.S.) of the Panteion University organizes an educational seminar on "Holocaust: History, Memory, Historiography"with rapporteur Dr. Odette Varon-Vasser.
The seminar will be held with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Greece and the co-financing of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs from resources of the Hellenic-German Fund for the future. Twenty-five (25) scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students.
A Memorandum of Cooperation for the preservation of the memory of the Holocaust and the fight against anti-Semitism was signed on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Nicosia, at the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Cyprus (YPAN).
The Memorandum was signed between the Ministries of Education of Greece and Cyprus, the Orthodox Church of Greece, the Orthodox Church of Cyprus, the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece (KIS) and the Jewish Museum of Greece (JMG) and provides for the implementation of actions aimed at preserving the memory of the Holocaust and combating anti-Semitism and any form of racism.
The actions resulting from the Memorandum concern the realization of seminars, the creation of a joint digital platform for collaborating educators in Cyprus and Greece and the undertaking of educational initiatives, such as an annual student competition on the Holocaust, the organization of visits by school units and the implementation of related initiatives by the students. The Memorandum also provides for the formation of a joint working committee in which the six involved parties will be represented and which will identify and further specify the fields of cooperation between them.
On February 13 and 14, 2024, with the cooperation of the World Jewish Congress WJC, the Croatian Presidency of the IHRA, the G.G. Religious events, of the EME and the KISE, were organized in Athens, at the Jewish Museum of Greece, two seminars / workshops focused on the history of Greek Jewry and modern anti-Semitism.
The first laboratory it concerned the officers of the Ministries charged with the task of drawing up and implementing the National Action Plan against Anti-Semitism. The meeting was attended by representatives from 13 co-competent Greek agencies and ministries, including the General Secretary of Religious Affairs G. Kalantzis, the Deputy Minister for Equality and Human Rights Maria-Alexandra Kefala, the special envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the fight against anti-Semitism, Ambassador H. Aliferis, WJC representative Dr. L. Saltiel and G.G. of KISE B.I. Eliezer.
The second seminar, with the participation of ambassadors and diplomats from 12 countries, was held to inform them about the centuries-old history, the Holocaust, the contemporary activity of the Jewish communities of Greece and the expressions of anti-Semitism.
