ARTICLE BY VICTOR H. ELIEZER TITLE "THE TIME OF CHANGE IN ISRAEL"

Details
Created : 10 May 2021

On 8.5.2021, the following article entitled "Time for change in Israel" by the journalist Mr. Victor Is was published on the huffingtonpost website. Eliezer.

The challenge to keep the Jewish state democratic. A state of social, cultural and cultural pluralism.

Political instability in Israel continues, with undiminished interest, but without the possibility of a stable government appearing realistic.

The need for an agreement between different parties representing not only different political approaches, but different worldviews, different cultural currents, is imperative for solving the political crisis plaguing Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu may still retain the authority of the undisputed leader, but he is now unable to win the trust of even his close former political allies.

INTERVIEW OF ISRAEL'S AMBASSADOR IN APE - BE: GREECE AND ISRAEL, AN ANCHOR OF STABILITY, COOPERATION AND SECURITY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

Details
Created : April 16, 2021

Israel's will to further deepen its cooperation with Greece and transform their relationship into a axis of cooperation between Europe - Middle East - Gulf, as well as the clear message that the two countries are "an anchor of stability, cooperation, security and prosperity" in the Mediterranean, says the Israeli ambassador Yossi Amrani. In an interview with APE-MPE, on the occasion of today's 73rd anniversary of Israel's independence, Yossi Amrani describes Greek-Israeli relations as close and strategic and clearly defines the context in which he moves: "I spare no effort, I will rest on the laurels of the success of our relations to date, because there is much more to be done in all areas, economic, strategic, political, in the relations between the two peoples" and to "make them stronger, closer, productive, benefiting the two countries and the two peoples".

He called "the miracle of freedom and sovereignty" the most important thing in Israel's 73 years of independence.

ARTICLE BY VICTOR ELIEZER ENTITLED "THE PASSAGE THROUGH JERUSALEM"

Details
Created : December 17, 2020

On 17.12.2020, the following article entitled "The passage from Jerusalem" by the journalist Mr. Victor Eliezer was published on the huffingtonpost website.

"It is surprising that two hard-line leaders - Trump and Netanyahu - managed to achieve the normalization of the relations of four important Arab states with Israel, within 4 months. United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, changed its shape Jewish state in their own public opinion, from a "cancer" that must be eradicated from the region to a state "partner" in business and as a factor of stability. The Israelis rejoice and prove that they can coexist peacefully and harmoniously with the Arabs and their culture.

Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday marking monotheism's resistance to idolatry, is celebrated publicly in Bahrain, investors from UAE buys 50% of Israeli soccer team Beitar Jerusalem, whose fans hate everything Arab, and soon direct flights from Tel Aviv to Rabat will begin. Arabs and Israelis renew their acquaintance after the violent displacement of 450000 Jews from Arab countries.

INTERVIEW OF ISRAELI FOREIGN MINISTER GABI ASHKENAZI

Details
Created : November 02, 2020

Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi expresses intense concern about the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and Turkey's unilateral actions, as well as the attempt to instrumentalize Islam, in an interview with "NEA". Ashkenazi declares full solidarity with Greece and notes that two camps are now forming in the region, the one that promotes peace and the one that promotes extremism...

I believe it is a historic event with the prospect of reshaping the entire area. The agreements create an opportunity to transform a region known for conflict and violence into one of prosperity and stability for the benefit of the citizens and all countries of the Middle East. The new relationships will create links in a number of sectors such as technology, science, agricultural production. We are in the process of turning this declaration, this commitment into a plan that will turn into benefits for the people. Strategically it is more important because now the area is divided into two camps. That of countries that choose peace and stability. And the camp of those who promote the extremists, such as Iran, Turkey, Yemen and others.

TODAY JULY 11, 1947: EXODUS – THE SHIP THAT RAISED A NATION

Details
Created : July 10, 2020

On July 11, 1947, more than 4.500 Holocaust survivors boarded an old passenger ship, the Exodus 1947, in order to break the naval embargo that the British had imposed on what was then British Mandate Palestine, and to rebuild their lives there. Although this operation - organized by the Haganah - could be one of dozens of failed similar attempts to immigrate Jews to Palestine during the decades of the British Mandate, this particular ship was to become an international symbol of the need to create a Jewish state. See the relevant video here.

The British authorities intercepted the ship Exodus 1947, after a week's journey and took it to the port of Haifa, where they tried to forcibly disembark the passengers. During the clashes, two passengers were killed and dozens were injured. The remaining passengers were taken by the British back to France, where they were ordered to disembark. In the refusal of the passengers to comply, the British authorities chose to wait as long as necessary until the voluntary disembarkation of the passengers, in order to avoid public outcry in Britain. Instead of giving in, the passengers went on hunger strike, raising international interest and forcing the British to look for another solution.
