Comedian Zach Sage, after his video from Ramallah in the West Bank (Wild West Bank) on how Palestinians view Israelis, visited Tel Aviv and asked Israelis exactly the same questions. The answers given by Israelis and Palestinians are diametrically opposed and typical of how they see each other! The Israelis who were asked said that they can coexist peacefully with the Palestinians, unlike the Palestinians who said that only one state (the Palestinian one) can exist in the region!

The journalist, correspondent of Israeli newspapers and G.G. of KISE Victor Is. Eliezer spoke on the "Mirror" program of Christos Michaelides, on the First Program of ERT Radio, on 20.8.2024, about the situation in the Middle East on the occasion of the identification of the 6 dead hostages found in the tunnels of Khan Yunis. Listen here (from 31:22 – 44:46). Here is a transcript:
Chr. Michaelides: Thanks so much for joining us today, I wish we had better news to report and comment on. Do we have a new best?
B. Eliezer: Unfortunately today is a day of mourning for Israel because 6 more bodies out of the 115 hostages were returned, discovered in the Khan Younes tunnels in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli army and returned to Israel. There is therefore a deep sadness over this fact which at the same time increases the necessity to reach an agreement that will allow both a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of the remaining hostages taken by the terrorist organization Hamas on October 7, 2023 .
Iran and its satellites have announced a retaliatory strike on Israel. They've hyped it up so much, they can't go back now. That's what common sense says. They have been exposed and retaliation is now a matter of prestige and prestige vis-a-vis the Muslim world. Of course, on the other hand, they have been trapped with their pompous threats in a policy that even Iran and especially Hezbollah do not know where it will lead them, as Israel demonstrates an exemplary determination in its retaliation. Today's image of Gaza bears witness to this.

The unfolding Middle East tragedy is not just about the parties directly involved. It concerns an entire region but also neighboring countries that do not belong to it.
It is easy to agree that Greece, Cyprus and Turkey are included in these. It is more difficult to predict what each expects from the outcome of the war, whatever it may be. Although Turkey has made its positions clear: with the unconditional support of the Palestinians it seeks to take part in the processes that will lead "the next day" to the possibility of a Palestinian state. It seeks to participate in a peacekeeping force, a stabilization force, if and when there is one, in order to co-shape the data in the field and strengthen its influence. Accordingly, it has moved, let's recall, in Iraq, Libya and Syria. Turkey is there.

We are Israelis: We make plans for next week even as we joke about the end of the world, because life is too precious to sit and wait!

A week ago, on Saturday night, my son asked me if we could go to Tel Aviv the next day. "You know," he said, "this might be our last normal day."
So far, we've managed to get eight "it might be our last normal day" days.
We managed to go to Ganei Yehoshua Park in Tel Aviv, the Ammunition Hill Museum in Jerusalem, bowling (twice!), hanging out with cousins, and spending time with the grandparents. All the while with the threat of major attacks over our heads.
