The editor and curator of the book, Rachel Misdrachi Capon, spoke about the harmonious coexistence of the two peoples over the years and how this is reflected in the pages of the book.
"The Jews and the Greeks each saw themselves as a distinct and pioneering nation among the other nations of the world. From the moment they first met at the time of Alexander the Great, these two peoples meet and converse incessantly through philosophy and theology as carriers of pioneering spiritual currents", it was pointed out during the presentation of the book. "This event has a positive aura," said the mayor of Larissa, Apostolos Kalogiannis, adding, among other things, that "the presence of the Israeli Community in the city fills us with knowledge."
"This particular book is a true treasure of knowledge that highlights the association of the two peoples. It speaks of the influence of one culture on another," noted the president of the Israeli Community of Larissa, Maurice Magrizos. The event was also welcomed by the president of the Regional Council of Thessaly, Mr. Papacharalambous.
