On Sunday 20 March 2022 the silent march of Remembrance will take place "Never again, Thessaloniki - Auschwitz - 79 years since the departure of the first train». The march is co-organized by the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Macedonia, the International University of Greece and the Israelite Community of Thessaloniki.
In this year's event, the leader of the march will be S.A. the President of the Republic Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The March of Remembrance will begin at 11:00 from Liberty Square and will end at 12:00 p.m. at the site of the Old Railway Station where a short ceremony will take place.
The afternoon of the same day, the opening of the exhibition series will take place at the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki "In the same city: Christians and Jews in Thessaloniki". The first thematic section of the series entitled "Music, Theatre, Culture", which is dedicated to the memory of the Jewish students of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki (1915-1943), will be inaugurated by the Minister of Culture and Sports, Mrs. Lina Mendoni.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Center for Jewish Studies, the Georgios Konstantinidis Archive, the Israelite Community of Thessaloniki - Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki and the Foundation of the Hellenic Parliament with the support of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
