This year, the Day of Remembrance of the Greek Jewish Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust will be commemorated with an online tribute and illumination of the White Tower with the uniform of an Auschwitz prisoner and the yellow star that the Jews were forced to wear on their lapels.

The online tribute, organized by the Region of Central Macedonia and the Israelite Community of Thessaloniki (ICTH), includes a video screening of the illumination of the White Tower, on Wednesday, January 27, at 18:00 p.m., as well as a screening of the show "Anna's Lost Innocence Frank" by the IKTH theater group "Entremosotros", on Saturday January 30, at 19:00.

Also, on Sunday 31 January, the online tribute, starting at 19:00, includes: memorial service by the rabbi of the ICTH, Aaron Israel and messages for memorial day by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Deputy Prime Minister Panagiotis Pikrammeno, Ambassador of Israel to Greece Yossi Amrani (Yossi Amrani), the Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia-Thrace) Stavros Kalafati, regional governor of Central Macedonia, president of the Union of Regions of Greece and president of the EU Committee of Regions Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the mayor of Thessaloniki Konstantinos Zervas, rector of AUTH Nikos Papaioannou, vice president of the World Jewish Congress, president of the Central Israelite Council and the IKTH David Saltiel and president of the Holocaust Museum Yannis Boutaris.

The tribute concludes at 19:45 of the same day with a screening of the 55th Dimitrios Festival production entitled "Don't forget me", a dramatized reading of excerpts from Leon Saltiel's book of the same name by the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the actresses Roula Pateraki and Efi Stamoulis.
