At 4.6.2024, the Cervantes Institute (INSTITUTO CERVANTES TIS ATHINAS-INSTITUTO CERVANTES DE ATENAS), the I.K. Thessaloniki and the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki inaugurated the periodical narrative exhibition "The Golden Age of the Jews of Alantalo" edited by the Professor of the University of Granada, José Martínez Delgado.

The report was prefaced by President of KISE and I.K. Thessaloniki David Saltiel highlighting the various actions and initiatives of I.K. Thessaloniki for the preservation of the Spanish-Jewish dialect, as well as the importance of cooperation with the Cervantes Institute.

The Director of the Cervantes Institute Pilar Tena, warmly thanked I.K. Thessaloniki for the organization and hosting of the exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki.

The chairman of the Committee of the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki, Isaac Saltiel, greeted the guests. While, and Mayor of Thessaloniki Stelios Angeloudis, addressed a short greeting pointing out the importance of holding such cultural events in the city of Thessaloniki.

The curator of the exhibition spoke about the historical research that led to the curation of the exhibition, University of Granada professor Jose Martinez Delgado, who at the end of the event gave a tour of the audience.

Also present at the opening were the first deputies of Thessaloniki Stavros Kalafatis and Dimitris Kouvelas, the Consul General of France, Jean-Luc Lavaud, the Consul of Spain Sam Nachmias, the Rabbi of the Israeli Community of Thessaloniki Izhak Dayan, members of the Community Assembly and Community Council of the Israelite Community of Thessaloniki and a crowd of people.

The exhibition is hosted at the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki by 4.6.2024 to 30.8.2024 and will remain open to the public during the hours and days of operation of the Museum.
