The construction of the Hellenic Holocaust Museum in Thessaloniki has now entered the starting line dynamically, since with the completion of the first works of organization of the construction site, the contractor consortium of companies "GEOEREYNA-OFS", in a period of seven months, will carry out the preliminary works of the project, which they concern excavations and supports and the construction of the foundation piles.
The aforementioned is pointed out in today's announcement by the company "Samaras & Associates SA - Consulting Engineers", recalling that the Museum has a total area of approximately 9.000 sq.m., will consist of six above-ground and two underground floors and will be developed around a small urban grove.
He adds that in addition to the halls of the permanent exhibition, the Holocaust Museum of Greece will include rooms for periodical exhibitions, archives, education and research, as well as multi-purpose and recreational areas and administrative offices, while the outdoor space will be created on the adjacent property parking.

A breath before the start of the work is the Holocaust Museum, a much-discussed and emblematic monument for Thessaloniki and the world community as it will be a point of reference against fascism and racism.

From May 9 to 12, 2024, the Ahlan seminar was held at the IKTH community center! Europe. The program was a partnership between the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and Ahlan Europe, a European organization that aims to highlight the wider Sephardic tradition and thought in Europe, among Jewish communities and youth. 14 participants from all over Europe with Sephardic origin took part in the seminar. The Jewish Youth of Greece was represented at the seminar by Thessaloniki's Melvin Berkovits.

At 4.6.2024, the Cervantes Institute (INSTITUTO CERVANTES TIS ATHINAS-INSTITUTO CERVANTES DE ATENAS), the I.K. Thessaloniki and the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki inaugurated the periodical narrative exhibition "The Golden Age of the Jews of Alantalo" edited by the Professor of the University of Granada, José Martínez Delgado.

At 18.5.2024 the new book of the scientific associate of the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki, Mrs. Mariandzela Chatzistamatiou, was presented at the International Book Fair of Thessaloniki entitled: "The songs of the Holocaust of the Greek Jews".
The President of KISE, of I.K.Th. and of the Holocaust Museum, Mr. David Saltiel, addressed a greeting.
