The film "The Art of Memory" by Anneta Papathanasiou was screened in Chalkida on 19.11.2025, at the Amphitheater of the Regional Unity Hall of Evia, as part of the Greek Documentary Festival Docfest.gr.
The screening was attended by the creator Anneta Papathanasiou and Artemis Alkalai, who discussed with the audience and received warm wishes for the continuation of their work. Also present were the president and general secretary of the I.K. Chalkida, honoring this important event of memory and art with their presence.
In the film, visual artist Artemis Alcalai presents her work, sheds light on her family's history, and explores the ways in which, consciously or unconsciously, she processed unspoken family memories, the collective trauma, and the legacy of the Holocaust.
