The members of the Jewish Community of Chalkida, faithful to the traditions of our religion, had the pleasure of celebrating Pesach again this year, with a service in the Synagogue and a Seder in the Club.
On the first evening, Saturday 12.4.2025, Mr. Minos Levis officiated at the Synagogue, whose non-profit offering keeps the Synagogue open on all Jewish holidays.
On Sunday morning, the service was conducted by Mr. Ishaki with beautiful psalms and the reading of the passage from the Torah for that day.
The President of the community, Mr. Solon Maisis, analyzed the central meaning of Pesach, which is the Freedom and creation of the Jewish people after their liberation from the yoke of the Egyptians.
In the evening, after the service, at a table decorated with lemon blossoms and aromatic plants, arranged by Ms. Esther Louka-Cohen, the Seder was held in the Club, where we all read excerpts from the Haggadah in Hebrew and Greek.
