Every year I.K. Chalkidas tries to celebrate our religious anniversaries traditionally. Despite the small number of our members, the celebrations are organized with great success and with everyone's contribution and participation.
The By Biswat, day that marks the awakening of nature and heralds the arrival of spring, we blessed the fruits of the earth and tasted the ancestral "tragala" prepared this year by Mrs. Anna Cohen.
The Purim a service was held in the Synagogue, with the reading of the Megillah by Mr. Minas Levi, followed by a rich meal in the community center, which was offered by the ladies of the Community. Mrs. Lili Kosti spoke about the importance of the Purim holiday and gifts were offered to the children.

A visit to Chalkida was made on 29.12.2014 by the ambassador of Israel in Athens, Mrs. Irit Ben-Abba, who had formal meetings with representatives of the city and the Prefecture of Evia.
Initially, she was visited by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chalkida, Mr. Chrysostomos, accompanied by the president, Mr. Solon Maisis, the general secretary, Mr. Myr Maisis, and members of the Board of Directors. of .K. Chalkida.
This was followed by a meeting with the deputy regional governor Mr. F. Spanos and the mayor of Chalkideon Mr. Chr. Pagonis, with whom he discussed the prospects for developing the country's commercial ties with Israel, mainly in the fields of tourism, foodstuffs and technology.
Then the ambassador visited the Synagogue of Chalkida where members of the Community were gathered and Mr. Mayris answered the ambassador's questions about the oldest community in Greece. An engraving of Chalkida was donated to her, as well as the book with the history of the community, a gift from the author Mr. Mayr Maisis.
After the meal hosted by the Community at a beach restaurant, the ambassador visited the Jewish camp officials who were conducting a three-day seminar.

The centuries-long and uninterrupted presence of the Jews in Evia and especially in Chalkida is presented in the book by Mr. Mair S. Maisi "The History of the Jewish Community of Chalkida from 586 AD. until 2001 AD.' The presentation of this remarkable edition took place on 17.6.2013 in the forecourt of the Red House of Chalkida and was organized by the Soroptimist Club of Chalkida, the Israelite Community of Chalkida and the Euboean Archaeophile Society. - Details

On 22.4.12 I.K. Chalkidas honored the Memory of our six million brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the Holocaust. The memorial prayer was given by Mr. X. Ishakis. Candles were lit in memory of the victims and members of the Community read the Psalms in Greek. The former president of the Community, Mr. Ma'ir Maisis, spoke about this day, who made a very interesting review of the events that happened during the Occupation period in Chalkida.
