The Hellenic Parliament and the Municipality of Athens commemorated Holocaust Remembrance Day 2024 by participating again this year in the WE REMEMBER remembrance campaign. The facades of the Parliament and the Athens City Hall were illuminated with the characteristic logo of the campaign and a symbolic graphic illustration of the Star of David between barbed wire. As every year, the graphic was created by the graphic designer of the Jewish Museum of Greece Haya Cohen.

Illuminations of town halls and emblematic buildings took place in many cities throughout Greece.

In Athens, this year's message for the preservation of Memory was amplified with the dynamic presence, in front of the illuminated Parliament, at Constitution Square, of representatives of the leadership of the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece, the Jewish Community of Athens, the second Generation of the Descendants of Holocaust Survivors, representatives of Jewish organizations, friends of the Community and the Israeli Ambassador to Greece Noam Katz.

Everyone, holding signs with WE REMEMBER message, united their voice and declared their commitment so that NEVER AGAIN means NEVER AGAIN.
