On February 6, 2013, the US Consulate General in Thessaloniki organized a lecture-discussion in honor of David Tiano, in the Tiano Room of the American Consulate in Thessaloniki.
The speaker at the event was Dr. Paul Isaac Havel on the subject: "The Extermination of the Jewish Greeks of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace: Historical Trajectory of the Southern Balkans and Nation-State Building".
