During the Solemn Session of the Academy of Athens for the Celebration of the Anniversary of October 28, 1940, which will take place on Tuesday 25 October 2022 at 19.00 in the Ceremonial Hall of the Palace of the Academy of Athens, the fallen hero of the 40s, Colonel Mordokai Frizis, will be honored with the Silver Medal of the Academy.
Academician Mr. Manolis Korres will deliver the keynote address on the topic: "Antiquities in World War II".

Ο Mark Eliyahu was born in 1982 in Dagestan, former Soviet Union, and immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1989. At the age of 16, he was inspired by the performance of Habil Aliyev, a leading kamancheh performer, and settled in Baku, Azerbaijan to study kamancheh with the famous Adalat Vazirov. Mark Eliyahu's father was a composer and his mother played the violin. In 2020, he composed and performed the theme music for the Israeli series Tehran.
