The Municipality of Arta and the Music and Philology Association of Arta "O Skoufas" will commemorate the day of the arrest of the Jews of Arta on Saturday, March 22, 2025, eighty-one years after the most massive loss of human resources for the city of Arta in the 20th century (24/3/1944).
The program includes the following:
- 11: 00 am: walk - guided tour of points of Jewish interest with Mr. Theocharis Vadivoulis, researcher of the history of the Jewish Community of Arti.
- 17:00: event at the spiritual home of the Artis Non-profit Association "O Skoufas"
- 19:30: Memorial service at the Holocaust Memorial in Jewish Martyrs Square – laying of wreaths – Memorial procession through the Jewish quarter towards the gathering point of the Artin Jews before their deportation – one minute of silence.
