Students of the 5th High School of Trikala made an important educational visit to the Jewish Synagogue of Trikala as part of their Religious Studies course with theologian Ms. Konstantinia Manoli and philologist Ms. Kalliopi Kalousiou.

The events for the National Day of Remembrance of the Greek Jewish Heroic Victims of the Holocaust 2025 were held in Trikala with emotion and solemnity. The first event took place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, and another one follows, addressed to the city's schools, on Monday, January 27, 2025.

The Board of Directors of the Israeli Community of Trikala issued a resolution HERE has just been informed of the sad news of the loss of Constantinos Papastergiou, who had served for 4 four years as the Mayor of Trikkaia with a huge contribution to the development of the city, undivided support to the Jewish community and actions to preserve memory of the Holocaust.
The events for the National Day of Remembrance of the Greek Jewish Martyrs and Heroes Victims of the Holocaust took place in Trikala with great success on Sunday, January 22, 2023 with the laying of wreaths at the Holocaust Memorial by all Authorities and representatives of Israeli Communities, Associations, Clubs, Agencies and a large number of people, as the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Trikkaia played.
The event continued at the Synagogue of Trikala with the lighting of 6 candles in memory of the 6.000.000 victims of the Holocaust and a 7th candle lit by the children of the 4th High School of Trikala to remind us of the hope and wish that in the future the new generation will not live again such horror.
During the event, greetings were given by the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Mr. Costas Agorastos, the Mayor of Trikkai, Mr. Dimitrios Papastergiou, the representative of the Central Jewish Council of Greece, Mr. Ilias Kampelis, and the President of the Jewish Community of Trikala, Mr. Iakov Venouziou. Messages sent by the Minister of Environment & Energy Mr. Kostas Skrekas and the Ambassador of Israel Mr. Noam Katz were also read.
