On Saturday, December 28, 2024, the Hanukkah celebration took place in Volos.
The Israeli Community of Volos had the pleasure of welcoming to the Community Center, in a warm and festive atmosphere, a large number of friends and representatives of local bodies who honored the event with their presence.
The Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Volos has had an external defibrillator in recent days, thanks to the donation of the Israeli Community of Volos.
On the occasion of this new donation to the church, but also to the society of Volos, the president of the Ecclesiastical Council, Archimandrite Kallinikos Georgakopoulos, sent a letter of thanks to the president of I.K. Mr. Volos Marcel Solomon, pointing out, among other things, that "thanks to your generous and philanthropic offer, another point to provide important assistance in the event of an emergency is now available in a central part of the city, through which thousands of our fellow citizens pass every day.
We wish from the bottom of our hearts that you will have blessing and strength in your multifarious social work and that your truly commendable, deeply humanitarian act will find imitators, so that we can create an informal network of love and contribution to fellow human beings in central parts of our city."
The magazine REGARDS, of the David Susskind Jewish People's Center (CCLJ) of Brussels, published in the circulation issue 1111, of December 2024 (electronic and in print), an article by Roland Baumann entitled "Volos : Histoire et mémoire juives" dedicated to the history of the Israelite Community Volos.

On November 1, 2024, the Directorate of Secondary Education in collaboration with the Primary Education of Magnesia, the Education Advisors Areti Tzanetopoulou and Paschalis Dimos, as well as the Association of Philologists of the Prefecture of Magnesia, organized a conference entitled: "For the Mathildas of the world: Teaching humanity and history through literature work of Mathilde A8428". The aim of the conference was to promote the inclusion of independent literary works in the educational program of Primary and Secondary Education.
On Monday, October 7, 2024, a memorial service was held in the Holy Synagogue of Volos, in the presence of the members and friends of the Community, in memory of the Israeli citizens and soldiers who died in the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
