I.K. Chalkidas celebrated the Yamim Noraim holidays with the participation of all its members, as well as visitors where they gave life to our small Community.
The Ross Asana it started with the selikhot of the eve and ended the next day with the blowing of the shofar by the priest Mr. Haim Ishaki. In the afternoon we performed Taslich in the garden of the Synagogue.
During his speech, the president Mr. Solon Maisis, in addition to the wishes, warmly thanked Mr. X. Ishakis and M. Levis for their many years of contribution to the Community.

At 17.5.2024 they visited the Chalkida Synagogue and its historical cemetery, a department-class of the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academy of Athens led by the President of the Academy Mr. Athanasios Kapsalis.
The tour was given by the General Secretary of I.K. Mr. M. Maisis of Chalkida.

The Jewish Community of Chalkida congratulates the member of Zak Kostis who, together with his classmate Jason Eleftherakis, students of the 4st Lyceum of the Moraitis School, won the XNUMXth place in the student video competition for the Remembrance of the Holocaust in Greece, organized by the Ministry of Education , Religion and Sports in collaboration with the Jewish Museum of Greece.

On Sunday 24.3.24 the Purim service took place with the reading of the Megillah by the hazan Mr. Minos Levis. The Board of Directors prepared a beautiful celebration with an offering of sweets and the members of the Community enjoyed the traditional sesame offering of Mrs. Evita Levi.
It is important for a small community like the Jewish Community of Chalkida to be able to operate its Synagogue on all Jewish holidays.

On Monday, March 11, 2024, the Association of Certified Guides of Athens visited Chalkida. One of the places they visited was the Synagogue of Chalkida and their interest was evident in any information related to its history. For when it was built, for the uninterrupted operation as well as the importance of the Synagogue in rallying the Jews during the difficult moments of their history.
