On 12.4.2024, Victor Eliezer participated on the show "Magnifications" on the First Program of ERT and discussed with the journalist Thanasis Georgakopoulos about the situation in the Middle East after Iran's attack on Israel. Following are excerpts of B. Eliezer's responses. listen up HERE the show (minutes 00.08.15 – 00.27.20).
* The attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus was aimed at limiting the supply chain of Hezbollah from Iran, which is bombing Northern Israel on a daily basis. The execution of leading figures of Iran's Revolutionary Guards located in Syria is part of this very design. To limit Hezbollah's aggression against Israel.
* The children of Haniyeh (head of the political bureau of Hamas) were not innocent children, they were officials and ran armed terrorist groups of Hamas. They were killed because they were armed terrorists and for that reason the parents posed smiling for the death of their children who were considered martyrs of Islam.
* Israel is prepared to counter any attack by Iran on its soil with three anti-missile zones and the close cooperation of the US military. USA, UK, France and Germany stand by Israel and warn Iran not to hurt Israel. Because they know that if Israel falls, Iran's next target will be the nearby Mediterranean countries that are not part of the Muslim arc.

October 7, 2023 marked the beginning of a tragedy whose outcome no one can predict. 1.200 Israelis were literally slaughtered by an army of a terrorist group, which without the intervention of the security authorities of Israel would not hesitate to kill many more.
Horrific images of violence, massacres of babies and children, murders, rapes, arsons, hostage taking. The biggest attack the Jewish people faced after the Holocaust!
In the middle of the war in the Middle East and the battles of the Israeli Army with "Hamas", the ambassador of Israel in Greece, Noam Katz, talks about everything to "PARAPOLITIKA" and to the journalist Lambros Kalarytis, without twists, with a straight and clear reason.
Referring to the goals that must be achieved, Israel's ambassador to Greece speaks of a complex civil war, pointing out that "the linear goal is to destroy Hamas."
Mr. Katz characterizes Iran as the head of the octopus and the Houthis, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Shia militias as its tentacles.

The honorary president of the Israelite Community of Athens and former president of the KISE Beniamin Albalas sent the following letter to the newspaper "Kathimerini" about the Palestinian flags in Syntagma Square at the event of the Municipality of Athens to celebrate the new year.
"Mr. Director,
Along with my best wishes for you and Kathimerini for the New Year, I would like to comment, through your welcoming column, on the indecency and lack of respect on New Year's Eve by ERT1, the artists and the new Mayor of Athens in farewell event of 2023 and welcome of 2024 at Syntagma Square!
At the concert of the Municipality of Athens, which was broadcast live by ERT1 and edited by the renowned songwriter Mr. Nikos Portokaloglou, they appeared, shortly before the change of time, waving for
impression, 10-15 flags of Palestine and indeed from the first rows of the spectators, so that they can be clearly distinguished from the platform and the podium of the artists and the television!!
No reaction, not even a polite recommendation to take down the flags.
Complete silence from the organizers, Mr. Portokaloglou, the pair of presenters and especially from Mr. Mayor of Athens in his first official public appearance!!!
They thought, all of the above, that they were participating in a musical event of protest by party or trade union bodies in front of the Israeli embassy and not a breath away from the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and the Hellenic Parliament in an event of joy and hope for all Athenians, for all the greeks?
I felt strange and wondered what grumbling and bitter and ironic comments would be made if 10-15 people were waving blue and white flags at the same time and place.
Unfortunately those in charge, official and semi-official, appeared below the circumstances with an impressive lack of boldness, I would like to believe, which is not befitting of public figures, unless they wanted to kick the left!!
Sincerely,
Dr. Benjamin Albalas
