In the context of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the "Preveza" Cultural Association and the Preveza branch of the Civil Society Organization are organizing the Sunday 28 January at Theophany of Art Hall the presentation of the book "Israeli Community of Preveza" by Lazaros Synesios published by the Cultural Association.
Speakers of the event will be: the author of the book Lazaros Synesios and Spyridon Sklavenitis Dr. of History and Head of Preveza Public School.
Excerpts from the book will be read by club member Kaiti Kosmatos.

The historical path of the Jewish community of Preveza "unfolded" in the event held on Sunday 3.7.2022 in the afternoon at the Municipal Art Gallery "Yiannis Moralis" by the Municipality of Preveza, the Music School of Preveza and under the auspices of the G.A.K. Prevezis as well as with the participation of the Central Jewish Council of Greece (KISE). The event took place in the context of the implementation by students of the XNUMXrd high school, of a special educational program concerning the Holocaust and the Jewish community of Preveza and took place in the context of the opening of the exhibition entitled "Jewish Community of Preveza. Displacement and Extermination".
Originally the Mayor of Preveza, Mr. Nikos Georgakos after welcoming as hosts to Preveza the general secretary and general treasurer of KISE Mr. Viktora Eliezer and Daniel Benardout and the Mayor of Ioannito Mr. Moses Elisaf, he began his greeting with a special reference to this great work of the students and young people of Preveza. Then, he noted, among other things, that this specific event is part of the general effort made by the Municipality with the local community and local agencies in close cooperation with the Central Jewish Council of Greece (KISE). A collaboration that was also sealed with the official visit of the president of KISE Mr. David Saltiel with the Board of Directors of KISE to the Municipality of Preveza, in order to keep alive the memory of the Jewish community and at the same time to perpetuate the message "Never Again" about the Holocaust.
