The Solid Waste Management Agency (FODSA) of Peloponnese, the global cultural and charitable organization B'nai B'rith "PHILON Athens", the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece and the PED of Peloponnese, co-organized in Sparta from August 31 to September 2, 2023 the established "Sparta Symposia of Ideas - - Towards a Sustainable Ecosystem".

The Conference was attended by over 100 people and focused on energy, waste management, the environment and their interrelationship and detailed policy and technology matching presentations by American, Israeli and Greek academics & research experts, government officials, policy makers and diplomats , strategic analysts for renewable energy sources, as well as specialized executives of organizations.

At the opening session, the Ambassador of Israel to Greece, Mr. Noam Katz, read a letter from the President of Israel, Mr. Isaac Herzog, who was unable to attend. The "King Ares of Sparta Award of Excellence" awarded to the President of Israel, Mr. Isaac Herzog, was received by the Ambassador of Israel to Greece, Mr. Noam Katz.

Greetings were sent via zoom and video by the Minister of State Mr. Makis Voridis and the American Senator Bob Menendez.  

Another successful action of B'nai B'rith Philon, which throughout time supports initiatives related to the improvement of life, human rights and support to the State of Israel, was completed with the participants promising to meet at the next conference.
